31 for 21: Day 23 Pretty Place

I had heard that this past weekend was the prime weekend to go up and see the leaves in the mountains..so that is what I wanted to do on Sunday..So on Sunday we took a nice drive up to Camp Greenville to Pretty Place to check them out…

It didn’t disappoint me…It was a beautiful drive up there…

and it was GORGEOUS up at the very top!!! God’s masterpiece….

It’s a view that goes on and on forever!!!

 

I can see why they call it Pretty Place…:)

31 for 21: Day 21 Fall

I love fall…everything about it..the colors..the leaves falling..the smells..the apples..the crisper air…and I love to decorate for it…here are just a couple things that I made for fall this year…Fall is by far my favorite season…

Our front porch….I know my SD friends and family would be dye if they knew I actually paid money for some old dried up corn stalks..but it’s the south and that s the only way to get them..;)

Another pinterest project..my pumpkin topiary…they all over and I love them but I decided to spray paint the one in the middle white to add interest…I wonder what color I will paint them next year…hmmm…I alos spray painted my containers an off white..they were a garage sale find and where in desperate need of a new paint job. Good as new now:)

My ruffled burlap wreath…sooo simple..I have been seeing them everywhere on pinterest and so I googled how to make them and couldn’t believe how easy they were to make…took me maybe an hour tops..and under $10…and I seen they sell them on Etsy for way more then that!!!!!!! 

A simple and cheap table runner…a strip of burlap and then I hot glued a piece of lace to the ends..ta-da..that’s it…and I totally love it!!

Throw some pumpkins on my table piece and a couple leaves around my lantern and I got a simple and cheap fall table centerpiece too!! Both my lantern and tray are southern living..but I scored them at a garage sale!!  I love garage saleing!!!!!

This weekend I repainted my living room and also my girls toy room…I think I pained tooo much this weekend I'm a little sore and a little behind on everything else!!!:( But I love the results so it was worth it!!!! Now to tackle my kitchen and dining room..its been this barn red and green for the last five years and I'm tired of it!!!

A Trip to the Apple Orchard

A couple of  weekends ago we went up to Sky Top Apple Orchard with Jared's brother and his family…Great weather..the kids had lots of fun..
 


They have a little petting zoo there for the kids to feed the animals..

I was surprised Avery wanted to feed the animals..usually she wants nothing to do with them..if she sees a dog or anything she takes of running..maybe they were ok bc they were in a cage..but she was doing all the signs for the animals when she saw them:)

I had to take a picture of this duck..he was all ruffled and fluffy. I don't think I have ever seen a duck like this..pretty weird!!




And our annual pictures in front of this sign..every year we get our pictures in front of here…I cant believe Destiny is almost 5' ft..crazy!!!!
 

This and That!!

My babies are eight months already and yes I'm fashionably late at posting this again..but you guys are all getting used to that by now right??:))  The bear pictures are getting really hard to take..both babies are on the move all the time..they are keeping my on my toes. I'm constantly digging stuff out of there mouths..or redirecting there paths..They are pulling themselves up to standing now and it wont be long and I'm going to be chasing them all over when they start walking..oh the joys:))  Both babies now have there first tooth..but thankfully they both did not cut them at the same time..whew!! We made it through one now only if the other twenty or so would be like that..haha!!!! 


I had a very much needed break with my older girls..We of course went shopping then I surprised them with a pedicure..They thought it was the Best!!   I wish i could of had my camera but of course I didn't..but I got the after shot:)  We really did have a fun Saturday!!  I love me some girl time!!

Fall!!!  Can I say more??  I love Fall it really is the best season I think I like everything about Fall, all the scents, apples, leaves changing, the weather (only we haven't had the weather yet)  I'm really ready for cooler weather!!!!  I cant wait for next weekend we are going up to Sky Top Orchard!!   We really enjoy it every year!!  But we did caramel apples the other day to kind of get in the fall mood;) and it was our first time making the caramel from scratch..all I have to say is it is WAY better then the store bought caramels!!!



 


Avery is doing much better!! She don't have to wear her sling anymore..but I notice her grabbing her arm occasionally so Im assuming it still hurts her now and then..It is amazing how fast kids heal!!!  But she still has the bruise and it will look all knotted for the next couple of months until it heals completely..
